Hype Goose — Privacy Policy

Hype Goose is a personal productivity pet app. There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and no selling of data.

Data stored on device only

Tasks you create, app settings, and goose state are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers.

Calendar

If you grant calendar access, Hype Goose reads your calendar read-only to show upcoming events and drive the goose’s reactions. Calendar data stays on your device. We do not upload or store your calendar on our servers.

Notifications

Notifications are local and generated on-device. They are not delivered through our servers.

Location (optional)

If you enable auto-pick city, approximate location is used only to choose a backdrop scene. It is not stored and not transmitted to our servers.

Data sent to generate goose messages

To create the goose’s speech lines, the app sends limited context to our server and then to OpenAI’s API:

current mood
time of day
the goose’s name
what you asked to be called
the title of your next calendar event (if any)
a random anonymous install ID

This information is used only to generate a response, and is subject to OpenAI’s API data policies. No other calendar content, no task contents, and no personal identifiers (such as email or phone number) are sent.

No accounts, analytics, ads, or data sales

Hype Goose does not create user accounts, does not include third-party analytics SDKs for advertising, does not show ads, and does not sell your data.
